Currently it's implemented as constant in URL. I would suggest sth like that: (example Warsaw - Okęcie)
Definition of runways and major approach types somewhere in configuration:
EPWA - 33:11 - ILS_DME
EPWA - 29:15 - VOR_DME
Then I put for example apptype=AUTO and type of approach is taken from configuration on the basis of active runway. In case of Warsaw it would work in more than 95% of time a year
